Beside the road between Coyhaique and Puerto Aysén, the Simpson river, forests and the Velo de la Novia and Virgen waterfalls.

The road between Coyhaique and Puerto Aysén follows the Simpson river, which gives its name to a national reserve of forests, rock walls and waterfalls. It is a must-stop on one of Aysén's busiest roads.
The waterfalls
At the reserve entrance is the Velo de la Novia (Bridal Veil) waterfall; a couple of kilometres further, beside a shrine, the Cascada de la Virgen. There are short and medium trails.
Visitor centre
The reserve has an information centre with a small museum about the area's nature.
Tips
- It rains a lot, especially to the west: bring waterproof clothing.
- Check CONAF opening hours and trail conditions.
