Calafquén, Pullinque, Pellaifa, Neltume, Pirehueico, Panguipulli and Riñihue: a lake circuit surrounded by four volcanoes.

The commune of Panguipulli, in the Los Ríos Region, brands itself as Panguipulli Sietelagos: seven lakes lying at least partly within its territory. An ideal road-trip circuit among volcanoes, forests and hot springs.
The seven lakes
- Calafquén
- Pullinque
- Pellaifa
- Neltume
- Pirehueico
- Panguipulli
- Riñihue
They are surrounded by four volcanoes: Villarrica, Quetrupillán, Lanín and Mocho-Choshuenco.
Towns on the circuit
Besides Panguipulli, the capital, the route passes Coñaripe, Liquiñe, Choshuenco, Neltume, Puerto Fuy and Pirehueico. The area has natural hot springs and the Huilo Huilo Biological Reserve, with forests and waterfalls.
Tips
- Several stretches are gravel: drive carefully, especially in the rain.
- Check ferry times if you plan to cross Lake Pirehueico.
