Tours and Activities:
Tyrolean Crossing, Hiking and Fun at Las Trancas
Pablo Etchevers Gentileza Ecoparque Shangri-LaSpecially designed to satisfy the expectations of visitors, Shangri-La Ecopark features everything necessary to spend a day full of adventure with the entire family.
From the first moment visitors make contact with this venue, they will observe that the facilities have been designed and built to preserve the ecosystem and discover the environment in a natural way, without invading it. This site is ideal for seminars, outdoors education, special events, families, groups of friends and adults, where they may find everything they are looking for.
Tree-top Fun for Everyone
The circuits built on top of the trees offer a wide array of options: Tyrolean crossings, simple suspension and Tibetan bridges, nets, staircases, Tarzan's jump and balance games, to name a few. All of them work with the aid of expert guides. This novel activity is enjoyed by both children and grown-ups, from 5 to 70.
Visitors must wear all safety elements, among which a full harness, carabiners, pulley, ropes and helmet equipment stands out. They are constantly checked by the staff working at the ecological park.
"Flying" from one tree to the next is a natural thing to do here. Going from a lenga to a coihue or vice versa is part of this attraction that lets everyone become mingled with nature and have a different view of everything from above.
In addition to amusement and recreation, another aim of Shangri-La Eco Park is to inform about and train visitors to take care of the environment.
The ecological trail offers a 45-minute hike across the native forest and leads to two viewpoints: the first one offers an impressive 360-degree view of Valle Las Trancas, the Nevado de Chillán Glacier and the Chillán Viejo and Chillán Nuevo Volcanoes; the second one overlooks Mount Las Cabras Ravine, where families of condors may be observed during certain seasons.
