Los Peñones Bathing Park
Los Peñones Bathing Park
Only one kilometer away from the center of Ovalle, traveling along Route D 55, we came across Los Peñones bathing park. Here, both residents and visitors gather to enjoy a real oasis amidst the bare hills.

The venue is a recreational center located on the Limarí River bank. There are picnic areas, green lawns, parking and services to enjoy the hot summer days together with the family and in continuous contact with nature.

The temperature was hitting 30° C and, as we heard about this beautiful place immersed in the mountain range, we did not hesitate to pay a visit.

In these cases, it is ideal to look for a shady spot, leave all personal belongings there and slowly get into the water. At first, it may seem cold because of the big difference of temperature between our body and the liquid element.

The venue features multicolor inflatable playground structures for children. As well, it is possible to hire a tourist operator to go on a horseback riding tour in the surroundings or else get on a pedal boat and tour around the river.

We chose to stay in the water. The family atmosphere is an invitation to meeting the people around and to making new friends. This place has fire pits and grills for rent.

When in Ovalle, we recommend that you visit Los Peñones bathing resort, an ideal place to enjoy the summer in the Andean Mountain Range.
